The Press Conference of the Asian Paints Causeway- Fox Hill Supercross 2024 organized by the Sri Lanka Military Academy in collaboration with Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS) was held successfully at the Blue Hall, Hilton Hotel, Colombo on 28 March 2024. The conference was graced with the participation of many local sponsors, SLAS, and SLMA officials, aiming to promote the upcoming 28th Fox Hill Supercross scheduled for 21 April 2024.
The organizing committee has already laid the spadework to launch the Fox Hill Supercross 2024 after five years of standstill in order to give a trilling excitement to festive public and holidaying crowds, and to set a grueling track for motor sports competitors to showcase their riding and driving spirit on panoramic Fox Hill landscape with 25 competitive motor car and bike events.
This mega event emerges as a fund-raising project of the Military Academy, Diyatalawa to improve the existing infrastructure and training facilities of trainee cadets. The President of the Organizing Committee, Major General M.T.I. Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc chaired the Press Conference and conveyed his humble gratitude to all the key players of the Asian Paints Causeway Fox Hill Supercross for their helping hands to conduct this mega event of the Sri Lanka’s Motor Sports Calendar.
During the conference, it was acknowledged the diverse contributions that made the Supercross possible despite short notice, including the generous support from the principal and other sponsors amidst a challenging economic environment. The proactive efforts of SLAS officials in overseeing the event's planning and execution, along with the media's role in amplifying its publicity, were also highlighted.
Senior Officers, Mr. Ashhar Hameem, the President of Sri Lanka Automobile Sports and representatives from various sponsoring companies including Causeway Paints Lanka (Pvt) Limited, Ceylon Agro Industries Ltd, McLarens Lubricants Ltd, Finnland Holding, Browns Group Exide, Rhino Roofing Products Ltd, Douglas & Sons (Pvt) Ltd, Hilton Colombo and many other valuable sponsors were present at the conference.
