Successful Completion of UNIFIL Pre-Deployment Training Course at IPSOTSL

The Force Protection Company Pre-Deployment Training Course No. 16 for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was successfully completed on 29 August 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The course began on 05 August 2024 with the participation of 28 Officers and 218 Other Ranks from the Sri Lanka Army and Air Force. It aimed to enhance the participants' understanding of the United Nations' practical and theoretical aspects and special tasks assigned according to the mandate.

Brigadier S.A. Hettige RSP psc, the Commandant of IPSOTSL, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates to the participants and delivered the closing remarks. Senior Officers, Officers and Instructors from IPSOTSL also attended the event.
