Strategic Studies Delegation from Air War College Visits Army Headquarters

A delegation of 12 students pursuing Master of Strategic Studies at the Air War College in United States, accompanied by Colonel Adam Hilburgh, Head of the Department of Strategy Air War College arrived at Army Headquarters on 05 March 2024. Upon arrival, Brigadier P.C.L. Gunawardana RWP RSP psc, the Director, Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine, warmly welcomed the delegation.

The delegation had a discussion on Sri Lanka’s role in the Indian Ocean region and Indo-Pacific with Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General A.H.L.G. Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management and a few Senior Officers at the Army HQ Multifunctional Hall.

Culminating the day’s program, mementos were exchanged, symbolizing goodwill and the gathering posed for a group photograph.

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony C. Nelson, Defence Attaché in the USA Embassy in Colombo, Mr Seth Adam Nevins, Assistant Defence Attaché, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
