SRIMED Troops Rehearse Duty Roles for Better Preparations

The SRIMED Level II Hospital, managed largely by Sri Lanka Army contingent on 8 April 2021 launched a training exercise for management of critically ill patients with focus on preparations for Operational Readiness Assessment (ORA) in the Level II hospital.

All medical staff, including four consultants, medical officers, nurses, paramedical staff and members of Aero Medical Evacuation Team (AMET) took part in this pre readiness exercise.

Exercise rehearsed treatment of gunshot injuries to head, chest and abdomen on a peace-keeper whilst on guard duty, etc, vomiting and other general emergencies.

Meanwhile, SRIMED peacekeepers who are performing duties at the Level II hospital in Bor in South Sudan marked the Sinhala and Tamil New Year in a simple manner with reading of the Commander’s New year message and a special tea table.

This event was well organized to refresh the tired minds of peacekeepers and revive seasonal traditions, rites and rituals during the New Year season.

During the event, the Commanding officer addressed the hospital staff and read the Commander’s New Year massage and conveyed his well wishes.
