The pilgrimage season of Adam’s Peak (Sri Padasthanaya), revered by people across the world, concluded on the Vesak Poya Day, 12 May 2025.
On the following day, the sacred ceremony of taking down the Sri Sumana Saman Deva statue, the relic casket, and the deity ornaments from the Sri Padasthana Udamaluwa to Nallathanniya took place, with the participation of Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, Commander, Security Forces (Central).
The General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
