Sri Lanka’s Military Police Paralympian Secures Bronze Medal in Javelin Throw

Bringing one more medal to Sri Lanka in the ongoing Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, the Sri Lanka Army Military Police, Corporal Dulan Kodithuwakku, just a couple of hours after Sri Lanka won the first-ever Gold Medal carried away a Bronze Medal in the same Javelin Throw F 64 event on Monday (30).

General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak on hearing the second Sri Lankan Paralympian’s achievement congratulated him over the phone a few minutes ago.

The Bronze medalist, Corporal Dulan Kodithuwakku has earlier participated in Asian Para Games in Indonesia 2018, World Para Games 2019 in Dubai and National Para Games.

He joined the Sri Lanka Army on 5th December 2009 and is a native of Deniyaya.
