Sri Lanka Force Protection Unit Commander Visits Malaysian Peacekeeping Battalion in Tyre

Colonel D.P.L.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Unit (SLFPU), along with several Officers and Other Ranks, made a courtesy visit to Malaysian Peacekeeping Battalion (MALBATT) UNP 2-1 stationed in Tyre on 12 February 2024.

During the visit, Colonel D.P.L.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG and the newly appointed MALBATT Commander, Colonel Buhran Bin Sagoni, engaged in a brief and amiable conversation concerning the current security situation in Lebanon. They also exchanged insights regarding the responsibilities undertaken by MALBATT troops and the troops of Sri Lanka Army in UNIFIL. The visit concluded with the exchange of tokens of appreciation between the two Commanders and a group photograph.
