Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) cricket team emerged ‘A’ Division Champions in the Army Inter Regiment Cricket Tournament 2014 for the third consecutive year by beating Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) cricket team.
17 regiments participated in this tournament and the Final Match was played at the Sri Lanka Army Cricket Grounds, Panagoda on Wednesday (13).
Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Lieutenant B.A.W Mendis was awarded the Man of the Match trophy during the awarding ceremony.
Meanwhile, the SLA cricket ‘B’ team won the ‘B’ Division championship by beating Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) cricket ‘B’ team.
