Sri Lanka Army Netball Team Learns about ‘Sports Science’

The Directorate of Sports with the objective of raising the knowledge on the scientific aspects of sportmanship conducted one more lecture session on 'Sports Psychology' to uplift the sport performance standards in order to achieve international medals on 31 August at the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Regimental Centre, Borella for Sri Lanka Army Netball team players.

Those educational programmes on ‘Sports Science’ have been devised following instructions given by the Director Sports Brigadier P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc aimed at producing athletes of international standards.

The Sri Lanka Army Sports Psychologist, Captain O.D.S.K Rupasiri delivered lectures to those potential sports women of the Army.

The Chairman of Sri Lanka Army Netball Committee, Brigadier J.K.R Jayakody RWP USP facilitated the conduct of this session through the coordination of the Army Netball Committee Secretary Major P.M.S Abeygunawardene.
