The Army Kabaddi Team emerged victorious in the 'Thambuththayange Kabaddi Competition - 2024,' held on 24 February 2024 at Thabuththegama Mahaweli Ground. Following the preliminary matches, the Sri Lanka Army team and the Sri Lanka Air Force team advanced to the finals. After an intense contest, the Army players secured the championship.
Simultaneously, the Army Kabaddi Team also claimed the champion trophy at the 'Vision Independent Trophy Kabaddi Championship 2024' on 21 February 2024 at Maharagama National Youth Council. Eleven Kabaddi teams representing various sports clubs across the island, including the Sri Lanka Navy, Air Force and Police teams, participated in the championship.
