Celebrating a decade since its inception on 05 May 2014, the Sri Lanka Army Hospital in Narahenpita commemorated its milestone with a series of events organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Management and Maintenance with the participation of Officers, Other Ranks, and retired service members of the Sri Lanka Army.
To mark the occasion, a friendly cricket match took place on 23 and 27 April 2024, with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks from both the Sri Lanka Army Hospital in Narahenpita and the Directorate of Management and Maintenance. The match was followed by a shared lunch for All Ranks.
Invoking the blessings for fallen, differently- abled, recovering and serving War Heroes, a dharma sermon was conducted, on 4 May 2024, followed by an almsgiving for 25 Buddhist monks.
The anniversary celebrations culminated on 06 May 2024, with a troop address and, All Rank tea fostering camaraderie and unity among all.
Major General P.A.C Fernando USP, Director General Army Health Services and Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, Brigadier R.M.J.B Rathnayaka RSP Director of Management and Maintenance, Brigadier W.H.U.D Wijerathne Director, Army Hospital, Narahenpita, Officers, Other Ranks and civil employees participated in the anniversary programme.
