Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division Marks its 3rd Anniversary

The Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division celebrated its 3rd anniversary on 18 November 2023. The Engineer Division organized a series of programmes to enhance comradeship and cooperation among the staff giving pride of place to blessings of religious faiths.

The Commander Engineer Division, Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc gave guidance for commemorative events.

Marking the 3rd anniversary celebration, an awareness programme on 'social health' was conducted by Prof. Hemantha Perera and his team of obstetricians and gynaecologists working in leading hospitals in Sri Lanka at the convention hall on 15 November 2023.

On 16 November 2023, a Dharma sermon was delivered by Venerable Bambarande Vajirananda Thero, who offered valuable guidance to make life better and focused on the elaboration of “Singalowada Suthra” and a special emphasis was given on how dedication and effectiveness make life and the workplace better.

Meanwhile on 17 November, a lunch was offered to adults at “Thusitha Elders' Home” after troops cleaned up the compound in order to make the place hygienic and free from pollutants.

On the anniversary day (18 November), a Guard Turn Out, and a colourful Guard of Honour salute was presented to the General Officer Commanding Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc on arrival. It followed the customary troop address and an All Rank lunch. The Commander of the Plant Engineer Brigade, Commanding Officers, and staff participated in the event.
