Under the guidance of Major General T.C Peiris RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, a capacity-building training programme was conducted for 18 Training Officers of the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) from 22 to 24 July 2024 at the Hector Kobbewaduwa Agrarian and Training Institute, Colombo 07.
The programme aimed to enhance the skills and abilities of the training officers for efficient employment. It included lectures on motivation, social and mess etiquettes, time management, stress management, leadership, and outbound training. The outbound training involved challenging team activities, encouraging participants to work together and develop critical thinking skills.
Additionally, trainers conducted scenario-based learning activities, creating an immersive environment where participants faced realistic challenges and received constructive feedback. The Chairman and Directors of NAITA expressed their appreciation to the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division for their exceptional contribution to this impactful three-day training programme.
