Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army and the instructions of the Adjutant General, with the supervision of the Director General of Directorate of Training and Director of Personnel Administration, the Sri Lanka Army is currently conducting the Regimental Sergeant Majors and Drill Instructors’ Career Progression and Leadership Development Course – 2025/01 at the Combat Training School, Ampara.
The course, which commenced on 24 February 2025 and will continue until 25 March 2025, is designed to enhance the expertise of Regimental Sergeant Majors, Drill Instructors, and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers/Non-Commissioned Officers who have completed the drill instructor course. It focuses on professional development, leadership enhancement, and the refinement of drill standards across all regiments.
The inaugural lecture was conducted by Brigadier M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP, Commandant of the Combat Training School, Ampara, setting the foundation for an intensive training programme.
