The ‘Next Gen’ Premier League Hockey Championship, organized by Sri Lanka Next Gen Hockey Development Society took place on 09 November 2024 at the Artificial Hockey Turf, Colombo.
Numerous domestic and international competitors representing Sri Lanka’s top sports clubs participated in this tournament.
Among the participants, players from the national teams of India and Pakistan, competed with the locals in the club.
The Sri Lanka Army team, which delivered exceptional performance throughout the tournament, notably competed without any foreign players in its lineup and triumphed over the Air Force team with a score of 3-2 demonstrating exceptional skill.
Sergeant Kusal Thilakasiri, from Sri Lanka Army, awarded the title of 'Player of the Final' as well as the accolade of 'Most Exciting Player of the Match.'
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, members of Next Gen Hockey Development Society and Competitors of sports clubs participated in the event.
