The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC), marking its 69th anniversary, honoured the sacrifices of War Heroes in a commemorative ceremony held on 29 November 2024 at the War Heroes Monument, Kalattewa, Anuradhapura.
Major General M.S. Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters, and the Colonel Commandant of SLAC, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Upon arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the Armoured Brigade and the Centre Commandant.
In keeping with military traditions, the Chief Guest, accompanied by SLAC Senior Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors, and family members of fallen heroes, laid floral wreaths and saluted those who gave their lives to restore peace and harmony in Sri Lanka.
