Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner - designate for India, Mr Esala Weerakoon before his departure for India to take up the new appointment, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva Tuesday (18) evening in order to receive an update related to roles and tasks of the Sri Lanka Army.
Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva extending his best wishes on his new appointment presented him with a detailed account of current involvements of the Army in various projects.
Towards the conclusion of the meeting, the Commander added memories to the occasion by presenting a symbolic gift to the envoy.
