On the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Major General Nalin Koswatte and under the supervision of the Commander, 231 Brigade, Brigadier W.J.N.K.D Bandara organized a programme to distribute 100 dry ration packs, each worth of Rs. 6000.00, among 100 needy families in Batticaloa district on 10 Oct 2021 in connection with the Army Anniversary.
Mr Supem De Silva from Rotary Club, Colombo district facilitated the project with his organization’s funds. Families at Unnachchiya and Kokadicholai areas, who were affected by COVID-19 were the beneficiaries.
General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Major General Nalin Koswatte, Commander, 231 Brigade Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Commanding Officer, 4 Gemunu Watch, Commanding Officer, 11 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer, 23 Division, Civil Affairs Officer, 231 Brigade, 4 Gemunu Watch troops and 11 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops joined to make the project a success.
