Troops of the 68 Infantry Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni organized a spectacles donation programme for civilians in the Puthukudiyiruppu area on 28 January 2024.
Accordingly, 107 visually impaired civilians selected by a cataract clinic organized previously by the 68 Infantry Division benefited from the programme.
Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc coordinated the project through his contacts and Dr. V Saveswaran, Secretary, Assist Resettlement and Renaissance Organization extended the much needed financial donations for the medical programme. Senior Officers, Officers and civilians in the area participated in this community project.
