The new special Presidential Task Force (PTF), appointed by HE the President to tackle health security at camps of the armed forces, headed by Western Province Governor and Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonatileke, together with Major General Keerthi Costa, Commander Security Forces – Central, Major General Prathapa Thilakaratne, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division and 122 Brigade Commander visited 12 Division,122 Brigade 3 Sri Lanka National Guard and Youth Corps Training Centre –Lunugamwehera on Wednesday (6).
After their visits, a discussion attended by all those Officers took place where their findings were reviewed and plans for further improvement as far as health and hygienic standards were streamlined.
This Presidential Task Force is responsible for preparing, implementing and monitoring an effective mechanism under the guidance of the Secretary of Defence and Commanders of Tri-Forces and would identify measures that need to be taken to ensure health security at military camps in view of the spreading epidemic.
