VAVUNIYA: A SPECIAL POLICE team from TRINCOMALEE acting on information given by some civilians made their way to NAGAILUPPUKULAM in VAVUNIYA late Sunday (3) evening and uncovered an LTTE suicide belt, one hand grenade, two 9-V batteries and two detonator cords.
The tip-off given by a civilian helped the local Police in TRINCOMALEE to find those LTTE items kept concealed by Tiger terrorists or their proxies.
TRINCOMALEE and VAVUNIYA Police stations are conducting investigations.
