Army troops of the 222 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) contributed their share to the successful conduct of the ‘Chathu Madura’ Pinkama at Seruwawila Mangala Maha Viharaya on Saturday (9).
Prior to the Pinkama arrangement, troops cleaned up the entire temple premises and assisted the offer of fruits and herbal saplings as offerings in the meritorious programme.
Ven. Seruwawila Saranakitti Nayake Thero, Incumbent and several other monks performed religious observances with the participation of a large gathering of devotees, including Army members who also provided drinking water to the attendees in the Pinkama.
Commander, 222 Brigade, senior officers and other ranks gave their fullest contribution to make this meritorious deed a great success.
