Special Infantry Operation Course - No. 74 Concludes with Grand Passing Out Parade

The Army Training School witnessed a spectacular passing out parade and an insignia awarding ceremony as the Special Infantry Operation Course - No. 74 concluded on Monday (15 Jan).

The course, which commenced on 20 Nov 2023, spanned across nearly two months, with the participation of 24 Officers and 155 Other Ranks representing various Regiments of the Army.

Major General K.P.S.A Fernando RWP RSP ndu, Director General Infantry, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The following individuals stood out for their outstanding achievements:

Best Officer - Lieutenant N.M.S.H Nikalansooriya - Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment

Best Shooter - Captain N.D Rajapaksha - Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment

Best Physical - Lance Corporal W.M.L.U.K Weerasinghe - Sri Lanka National Guard

Best Soldier - Corporal S.A.K.T Ganganath - Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment

Best Section - 5 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment
