Fostering relations further between the North and the South, students and teachers from Kandy Maha Maya Vidyalaya in the upcountry made a trip down to Kilinochchi area and met Tamil students learning at Paramankirai Vidyalaya, one of the most under-developed schools in the region on Thursday (23).
Those visiting students and several teachers carried a large stock of school accessories for distribution among those Paramankirai students during this visit, organized by 66 Division General Officer Commanding, on the directions of the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi.
During a brief ceremony after the visitors were warmly received by students, those gift parcels were distributed among those Tamil students learning at Paramankirai Vidyalaya.
Principal and teachers thanked the Army for their gesture towards the well-being of those students.
