"SOLE TAMIL LIBERATOR" GOES BERSERK &;amp; COMMITS HEINOUS CRIMES ON MINORS &;amp; ESCAPEES

MULLAITTIVU: THEY do speak, certainly very very much louder than how they really look like in reality. Never had they dreamt of a chaotic ill-treatment of this magnitude in the very hands of their so-called “sole liberators” of the Tamil people, to who the megalomaniac PRABHAKARAN vowed an utopian “Eelam” while sending his own sons and daughters overseas for studies.

The tyrannical leverage, hitherto being exercised by the LTTE leader and his cohorts on thousands of Tamil civilians in his Vanni theater of absolute mayhem, bloodbath and destruction, has been steadily falling apart, if not coming to a total stop sooner than later. It’s a matter of days or perhaps hours as developments unfold. Since the day one after the troops of the Sri Lanka Army launched its multi-pronged Vanni military operations to salvage people kept under the jackboot of PRABHAKARAN’s dictatorial rule, the LTTE intensified its attacks on the south and soft targets. Slin mini aircraft were dispatched for terror causing while the whole world remained aghast recalling 9/11 USA attacks.

In the last forty-eight hours alone, Tigers, unable to face humiliating setbacks, have been panicking inside the “No Fire Zone”(NFZ) and were reportedly running amok, particularly after the Army’s meticulous piercing of the 3-km long LTTE earth bund stretch on the western border of the NFZ by troops during the wee hours of Monday (20). Finally, the LTTE’s much-awaited last trick, “foreign intervention” too did not materialize.

Panic-stricken Tigers in the NFZ meanwhile brandishing guns and driving artillery mounted vehicles in the NFZ strip towards civilian gatherings went on infusing terror into trapped civilians, whom they have for long vowed to serve dividing this resplendent island in the Indian ocean where millions of people belonging to Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim, Burgher, Malay ethnicities have been living in harmony for generations.

By Tuesday (21) noon, Sri Lanka Air Force helicopters have evacuated a total of fifty-two (52) injured civilians including many minors who came under LTTE fire while fleeing. (See Photos in the story) A few of them sustained injuries in Monday (20) morning explosions inside the NFZ. More than twenty, out of a total of about 103 civilians receiving treatment in VAVUNIYA, ANURADHAPURA and COLOMBO National hospitals, had to undergo amputation and surgery. Several minors receiving treatment remain still unconscious, owing to serious nature of the injuries and bleeding, VAVUNIYA hospital sources confirmed. The feeble and the old have been assaulted with rifle butts though they pleaded for clemency when surrounded by irate Tigers as those innocent civilians were making their way. Several women after their injuries due to LTTE firing have lost their memory, probably due to emotional excitement, hospital sources further pointed out. Some of their by-standers in their harrowing tales narrated how they were manhandled and subsequently wounded by angry Tiger men.
