Falling in line with the mindset of the Secretary Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, in view of broadening the knowledge of the kids in Puthukkudiyirippu area, soldiers of 682 Brigade under 68 Division in Mullaittivu, refurbished and handed over the Holy Family Convent preschool, back to the use of children recently (13) at a simple ceremony held at the preschool premises.
Major General L.B.R. Mark, Security Force Commander (Mullaittivu) graced the occasion as the Chef Guest accompanied by Nuns of the Holy Family Convent, many senior officers, parents, children and villagers of the area.
Soldiers of 23rd Sri Lanka National Guard (23 SLNG), serving 682 Brigade, devoted much of their hard work to bring this preschool, which was in a devastated state due to the 30 year prolonged war, back to its former glory.
