Soldiers and Central Environmental Authority Collaborate for Clean-Up Campaign

In conjunction with World Environment Day on 5 June 2024, an environmental friendly initiative was conducted on 03 June 2024. The event was organised by the Central Environmental Authority and involved a cleaning initiative covering an area of up to 2km from the premises of Trinity College Farm, located in Pallekele Industrial Colony, extending to the left bank of the Mahaweli River.

A team of 10 soldiers from the 5 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and a team of 10 soldiers from the 2 Sri Lanka National Guard provided support for the event. This was carried out under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Central, Major General S.R.B. Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc.
