The Sniper Course - 21 lasting eleven months at the Marksmanship and Sniper Training (MSTS) School, Diyatalawa concluded with a Passing Out Parade (POP) and Badge Awarding Ceremony. Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General, attended the event as the Chief Guest, invited by Major General W.P Kariyawasam, Commandant of MSTS.
The Chief Guest presented certificates and laurels and extended his best wishes to the graduates. 03 Officers and 15 Other Ranks qualified as Snipers and following Officer and Other Ranks were awarded with the special award from the chief guest:
Best Shooter - Captain W.A.K.M Pradeep Kumara of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
Best in Physical Fitness - Lance Corporal P.S Roopasinghe of Commando Regiment.
Best in Field Training and Best Overall Student - Lance Corporal K.H.A.G Niroshan of Commando Regiment.
