SLSR Colonel of the Regiment Continues Battalion Visits

Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and Quarter Master General recently visited 2 (V) SLSR camp in Kandy and 3(V) SLSR camp in Nuwara Eliya.

During the visit to the 2 (V) SLSR, the visiting Colonel of the Regiment was honoured in a Guard Turnout after a warm welcome extended by the Commanding Officer of the Battalion.

Similarly, he was honoured in a Guard Turnout by the troops at the entrance to the 3(V) SLSR camp in Nuwara Eliya.

Afterwards, the visiting Colonel of the Regiment visited the ongoing construction projects inside the Nuwara Eliya camp and marked the opening of the ‘Topas’ farm gate. Around the same time, he laid the foundation stone for the proposed welfare complex and gave necessary instructions for its erection and development.

Major General Priyantha Jayawardena addressed the troops at both places and explained his vision for the betterment of Officers and Other Ranks in the Regiment.

Mrs Omila Jayawardena, Chairperson of the SLSR Seva Vanitha Branch, Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant, SLSR RHQ and a few more Senior Officers joined the visit.
