SLSR Bids Farewell to Outgoing Major General

The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) bade farewell to Major General W.L.A.C. Perera RWP RSP USP on 4 December 2024, in a formal ceremony held at the Regimental Centre in Ambepussa.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Centre Commandant of SLSR. The Senior Officer was then honoured in a Guard Turnout at the main entrance, followed by a Guard of Honour. Afterward, he paid a floral tribute to the memory of the fallen War Heroes at the Regimental Monument and attended the All Ranks tea.

In the evening, a farewell dinner was hosted in honour of the retiring Senior Officer, with the participation of Officers and their spouses. Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of SLSR, presented a memento to appreciate the retiring Senior Officer's service.
