SLSC Troops Wish All the Best to Retiring Senior Officer

Troops of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) bade farewell to Brigadier G.G.A Gunasekera USP on 25 May 2023 on the verge of his retirement after completing more than 33 years of illustrious service in the Sri Lanka Army.

In accordance with the military traditions, the ceremony was formally held at the SLSC Regimental Headquarters premises in Panagoda.

Day’s proceedings commenced with the ceremonial Guard Turnout salute offered to him on arrival. Afterwards, he paid tribute to fallen war heroes of Sri Lanka Signal Corps at the Regimental Monument. Later, Brigadier G.G.A Gunasekera USP received the salute of the ceremonial parade, presented by SLSC troops.

Subsequently, he had a courtesy call on the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndc. Afterwards, Brigadier G.G.A Gunasekera USP penned compliments and good wishes in the SLSC visitors' book.

Senior Officers, Officers and all Other Ranks of the Regiment were there to extend best wishes to him. The formalities of the day culminated with a farewell dinner at the Officers' Mess.
