SLSC Felicitates Newly Promoted Major General

The Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) hosted a ceremony on 28 November 2024 at the Regimental Headquarters to felicitate the newly promoted Major General G.S. Fonseka USP psc, the Director of the National Cadet Corps.

Upon his arrival, the Senior Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout in accordance with military traditions. He then paid tribute to the fallen SLSC War Heroes by laying floral wreaths at the War Heroes Monument. A Guard of Honour followed, further marking the occasion. Later, he posed for a group photograph.

The programme continued with a tea gathering at the Officers' Mess, after which he paid a courtesy call to Major General I.H.M.R.K. Herath USP ndc psc, the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of SLSC, at the Colonel Commandant's Office.

The event concluded with lunch at the Officers’ Mess, followed by an exchange of mementos. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
