Troops of the 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) of the 11 Division serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) carried out a ‘Shramadana’ programme to clean the Ambekka Sri Paththini Devalaya (temple) in Matale on August 30.
The ‘Shramadana’ was launched on the instructions of Major General A.P. De Z Wickramaratne, Commander, Security Forces-Central (SF-C) at the request of the Basnayaka Nilame of Sri Paththini temple to the Commander of the Army.
