Troops of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) in the 11 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) cooperated with the ‘Environment is Sacred’ programme of the Central Province Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, meant to rid garbage surrounding the ‘Sripada’ premises during April 25-26 for the third time.
50 Army personnel of the SLNG, together with 225 undergraduates from the University of Peradeniya, 70 members of the Department of Agriculture, 10 members of the Animal Husbandry Department, 60 members of the Ministry of Agriculture, 8 members of the Road Development Authority and 40 members of the Special Task Force joined hands together with one another to make the project a success.
