6 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 682 Infantry Brigade under the 68 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ- Mullaittivu using their own funds launched a project to provide five pairs of school shoes, each pair, worth Rs. 3300.00 for needy students studying at Mary Pre-school, Walaimadam in Puthukkudiyiruppu on Monday (Jan 09).
This was made possible with the kind patronage, extended by Major D.M.D.S Dissanayake, Commanding Officer, 6 SLNG and troops of the unit. Several Officers, Other ranks and tutorial staff were also present at the time of distribution of those shoes.
