SLNG Troops with Donors Provide School Aids to Kurunegala Students

1 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 143 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ-West (SFHQ-West) launching one more welfare project distributed school accessories to 13 underprivileged students at Siyambalawa Primary School and 24 students at Gallegoda Primary School in the 143 Brigade area in Kurunegala District on Tuesday (25 July) after visiting their schools.

This was made possible with the patronage, lent by SDB Banks in Wariyapola and Kuliyapitiya and New Pharmacy (Pvt) Ltd, Kurunegala. Accordingly, students received school accessories, worth more than Rs. 150,000/= through this joint contribution, initiated and coordinated by the troops.

Officers and Other Ranks of 1 SLNG, Officials of SDB Bank and New Pharmacy Pvt Ltd, Students and Tutorial Staff of each school took part in the events. The Commander, SF-West, General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division and Commander, 143 Infantry Brigade gave their guidance and blessings for the deserving project.
