All establishments under command to the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Regiment Heraliyawala, Kurunegala crafted many Vesak lanterns and illuminations and displayed them in the Heraliyawala camp premises during 5-8 May.
The group work of those SLNG troops was made possible thanks to the guidance given by the Colonel of the Regiment, SLNG and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, together with the SLNG Centre Commandant.
Those innovative and colourful decorations, presented by separate units on the directions of Brigadier H.A Keerthinatha RSP psc, Centre Commandant SLNG became a huge crowd - puller.
During the period, sight-seers and visitors were entertained to Belimal (herbal tea) and a subsequent devotional song (bakthi gee) spectacle added musicality to the chain of Vesak commemorative events, organized by the SLNG Regiment.
