Adding one more new facility, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army on Monday (23) afternoon, called at the Boossa Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Training School at the invitation of its Chief Instructor (CI) to open the new “Officers’ Holiday Bungalow” in the complex.

The new holiday rest, built through labour of the troops at Boossa Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Training School, received patronage from donors in the area by way of supply of raw-materials towards the project.

The project was brought to a successful completion on the instructions of Major General Amal Karunasekara, Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI with the support of SLLI Centre Commandant, Colonel Channa Weerasuriya.

The Chief Guest after unveiling a plaque and cutting a ribbon opened the new bungalow. A traditional house warming ceremony plus oil lamp lighting heralded the opening of the new building.

Afterwards, the Commander shared views with officers and other ranks assembled there over a cup of tea.
