SLLI Goes Ahead with Its House Construction Project for War Heroes

Continuing the Sri Lanka Light Infantry 's (SLLI) ongoing house construction for families of fallen War Heroes and injured War Heroes, the SLLI Regimental HQ on the guidelines and Regimental funds given by Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI and Chief of Staff Major General Channa Weerasuriya and the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, chaired by Mrs Dhanusha Weerasuriya built one more new house to a permanently injured Warrant Officer at Ethiliwewa and inaugurated it on Sunday (12).

SLLI troops using their technical and engineering skills constructed this house for the beneficiary who sustained permanent disability during humanitarian operations while fighting against LTTE terrorism. At an auspicious minute, Mrs Dhanusha Weerasuriya symbolically delivered the keys to the recipients after house-warming rites and rituals and ribbon-cutting

Members of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division, Senior Officers and Officers participated in this inauguration.
