Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) and Commander, Security Forces- Jaffna made his first official visits to SLLI battalions upon assumption of duties as Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI.
During 2-4 September, Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc visited 4, 15, 19 and 5 (V) SLLI battalions in Dambulla, Mollipothana, Manampitiya and Pallekele areas. Commanding Officers of respective battalions warmly welcomed their Colonel of the Regiment before they presented comprehensive briefings about their present role and tasks to the visiting Colonel of the Regiment.
Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc formally addressed the troops at each battalion and had a cordial interaction with the troops during the formal visit to each camp compound.
Senior Officers, and Staff Officers of SLLI regiment were also associated with the visits.
