SLLI Colonel of the Regiment Visits His Battalions

Major General Jayanath Jayaweera, Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry visited 4th and 24th Battalions of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), deployed respectively in Vavniya and Mannar areas on 27 September.

The visiting Colonel of the Regiment was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel H.R.A.K Basnayake, Commanding Officer, 24 SLLI at the entrance after a Guard Turnout.

During this visit, the Colonel of the Regiment opened the newly-erected Officers' Mess, Warrant Officers' & Sergeants' Mess in the 24 SLLI camp.

Afterwards, the visiting Colonel of the Regiment was honoured at the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry camp where he addressed the troops of the battalion and discussed several administrative requirements of the battalion with Major I.T.K Hapuarachchi, Commanding Officer 4 SLLI.

Meanwhile, he also visited 5th (Volunteer) SLLI and 6th SLLI Battalions where Major Rathnasiri, Commanding Officer 5 (Volunteer) SLLI and Lieutenant Colonel M.A.P Perera, CO, 6 SLLI welcomed him awarding military salutes on 28 September.

The Colonel of the Regiment during theses visits addressed the troops and gave necessary instructions to elevate the standards of the profession while serving. Best Sneakers | New Releases Nike
