Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndu, Quarter Master-General and the Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) made his first official visits to 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry battalion on 14 June 2024 upon assumption of duties as Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI.
Major Y.D.N. De Silva RWP RSP Commanding Officer of 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry battalion warmly welcomed the Colonel of the Regiment.
During this visit, the senior officer addressed the troops on the basis of military discipline, job security, personal safety regulations, alcohol/drug abuse, salary management, and creating a successful soldier through professional competence.
Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndu concluded the visit by giving necessary instructions and guidelines for the further development of the battalion and the welfare of the soldiers to the Officers of the battalion.
