SLLI Colonel of the Regiment Continues His Battalion Visits

Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and Chief of Staff (COS) continued the fourth phase of his battalion visits to the 1 SLLI (Panagoda), 8 SLLI (Delgoda) and 2 (V) SLLI (Kelanimulla) camps on Tuesday (Mar 28) with the intention of inquiring into the well-being of the troops.

The respective Commanding Officers warmly welcomed the day’s guest after he was greeted with Guard Turnouts at each entrance by SLLI troops. The chief guest addressed the troops at each location, highlighted the importance of maintaining discipline during challenging times and gave necessary instructions and guidelines for further improvements.

Afterwards, he inspected the locations and interacted with the troops during his visit. Furthermore, he warmed the newly built soldiers' accommodation unit at the 8 SLLI camp in Delgoda. Before leaving, he penned down complimentary notes in visitors’ books at each location.
