SLLI Bids Farewell to Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) bade farewell to Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP on 22 April 2024, at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda, upon his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army.

In recognition of the Senior Officer’s dedicated service to the Sri Lanka Army, a ceremonial Guard Turnout and Guard of Honor were accorded by the troops of the SLLI. Afterwards, Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP saluted the memory of fallen War Heroes at the SLLI Regiment’s ‘War Heroes’ monument and offered his gratitude to all ranks serving in respective SLLI establishments for their committed service.

Later, a Dinner Night was hosted at the SLLI Officers’ Mess following military traditions. The Colonel of the Regiment of SLLI, Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the day’s event.
