Slight Increase in Numbers Reported - NOCPCO

As of this morning (30), a total of 2,370 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 41 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,329 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 396 from Gampaha District, 368 from Colombo District, 220 from Kalutara District and 1,345 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (30), a total of 304,201 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 194,390 were reported after the New Year.

By Friday (30) morning (past 24 hours), 1,641 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 28 July, 66 more deaths have been reported including 41 males and 25 females.

As of Friday (30), 3,463 persons in 66 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Friday (30) morning, 459 persons have left 17 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.

By this morning (30), Vadamarachchi (North) GN Division in Point Pedro in Jaffna District was completely released from isolation.
