Lieutenant Colonel Ajith Siyambalapitiya (Retd) officially assumed his duties as the 16th President of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association (SLESA). He made a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, at the Army Headquarters on 09 July 2024.
During the meeting, the Commander of the Army warmly congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Ajith Siyambalapitiya (Retd) on his new role. The Army Chief reflected on the significant contributions of ex-servicemen of the Sri Lanka Army and emphasized the importance of addressing their administrative and welfare concerns. The discussion highlighted the critical role that SLESA plays in advocating for and supporting former service members.
Lieutenant Colonel Ajith Siyambalapitiya (Retd) brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having served as the General Secretary of SLESA since 2018. To commemorate this special occasion, the Army Chief presented a special memento to the new President, symbolizing the culmination of their meeting.
