SLEME Officers’ Training Day Held at Regimental HQ

The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (SLEME) Officers’ training day in the first quarter was successfully concluded on Monday (26 June) at the Regimental Headquarters (HQ) in Colombo 2 with the participation of more than 100 Senior Officers and Officers representing all Battalions and Base workshops.

The agenda included, morning physical training, sword drill training before all Officers listened to a guest lecture on the topic of ‘Electrical Automobile Technologies’ delivered by Mr Sasiranga De Silva, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Thermal R Industries Pvt Ltd. Afterwards, Mr Jayantha Bandaranayaka, Senior Trainer at the Associated Motorways (Private) Limited, conducted a lecture on ‘New Electrical Automobile Technologies’.

During the subsequent 'Diners Club' event arranged in the evening, Dr Ranil Sugathadasa, a renowned Leadership and Management Trainer, conducted a motivational lecture for the Officers at the Regimental Officers’ Mess. Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Commander Army Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of SLEME, Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc, Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Brigadier S.A.N.J Ariyasena, Centre Commandant of SLEME RHQ also participated in the event.
