SLEME Hails & Felicitates Services of Outgoing Senior Officer

Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe, the former Director of Management and Maintenance at the Army HQ was felicitated in a farewell by the Officers of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) on the last day of his service on 17th November 2023 at the SLEME Regimental HQ.

Accordingly, in conformity with military traditions, Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe, was warmly welcomed by the Center Commandant, Brigadier C Kalutharaarachchi and accorded a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the venue.

Afterwards Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe, was invited to receive the salute in the Parade. Afterwards, accompanied by Senior Officers and Officers, Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe participated in for refreshments at the Officers' Mess of the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and shared his thoughts with the gathering.

In the evening, a special dinner was held for the outgoing Brigadier O. M. D Gunasinghe at the Officers' Mess of the Regimental Headquarters. At this occasion, the Center Commandant appreciated his services, rendered to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and to the Sri Lanka Army in general.

Outgoing Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe was also presented a commemorative memento by the Commander Army Logistics Commandant and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc and all the Officers.

This special occasion was also graced with the participation of a number of Senior Officers, Officers, and their wives who participated in the farewell mess night of Brigadier O.M.D Gunasinghe.
