SLCMP Officers Educated on ‘Maintaining Duty Relations with Prison Department’

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) conducted its fourth quarter Officers' Training day under the directions of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A.C.A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc on Wednesday (29 Nov) at SLCMP Regimental Headquarters premises with 80 Officers participating representing all SLCMP units.

The training day programme, initiated by the 7 SLCMP included a Drill session for Junior Officers, individual presentations and group presentations. Afterwards, the SLCMP Colonel Commandant expressed his views, guidance, values of Officering as a Provost in contemporary situations and military well-being during his address.

In the evening, all Officers joined the Diners’ Club session as dusk fell, organized at the Officers’ Mess, where Superintendent of Prison Department, Jagath Chandana Weerasinghe - Magazine Prison, Colombo delivered a valuable lecture on ‘Maintaining Duty Relations with the Prison Department’. Senior Officers and Officers of SLCMP took part in those events.
