SLCMP Adds its Share to Commemoration of Poson Festival

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police organized a series of religious activities in parallel to the Poson full-moon Poya day under the guidance of the Provost Marshal and Colonel Commandant of SLCMP, Major General A.C.A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc and Mrs Priyanthika De Zoysa, Chairperson of the SLCMP. Seva Vanitha Branch.

The religious observances and rituals were conducted at the School of Military Police in Giritale and at respective units in collaboration with under command troops, school students and native villagers. All arrangements were done under the supervision of Brigadier A.M.R Abeysinghe, SLCMP Centre Commandant.

‘Sil’ campaigns, Bodhi Poojas, Dansel (free eateries), Poson devotional songs and Poson lanterns were among some of those prominent features.
